Project 1: South Laverton Project

Legacy Iron Ore Limited recently expanded its gold portfolio in WA with the acquisition of the Mount Celia gold project, a strategic fit to its’ South Laverton gold project, located 125-180km north-east of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The South Laverton exploration ground covers approximately 613km2 of exploration tenure and contains two open pit gold Inferred resources of 44,500 ounces and an Indicated resource of 46,000oz at Kangaroo Bore. This complements Legacy's 51km2 of tenements under application in the region.

This region has a known gold endowment of approximately 22 million ounces of gold and includes the major gold deposits of Sunrise Dam, Wallaby, Granny Smith, Carosue Dam, Red October and Mt Morgans. Saracen Mineral Holdings, an operator on nearby tenements, have been successful in defining over 2 million ounces of gold resources in the region.

The South Laverton Project is highly prospective for the discovery of new deposits given that it is located in a proven mining district and in close proximity to other gold resources. The tenement portfolio has a broad range of early stage to advanced targets in favourable structural and stratigraphic locations.

Project 2: East Kimberley Project

The East Kimberley Project tenements are located in the Halls Creek area, 347 kilometres south of Kununurra and are readily accessible via the sealed Kununurra-Halls Creek Highway. Currently, Legacy has four granted tenements and three tenements under application covering an area of 370km2 in this highly prospective area for gold and base metal mineralisation. Specific areas in the East Kimberley portfolio include Ruby Plains and Baily Range.

Ruby Plains is along strike of the Ruby Queen gold mine and 15km south-west of the Palm Springs gold mine. Old mines in the area have not been mined beyond a 30m depth and Legacy believes there is wide-ranging scope to explore beyond this level across the entire tenement. The characteristics of the extensive quartz vein systems, covering a 21km strike extension of the Ruby Queen Shear Zone, indicate a strong potential for the discovery of gold deposits across this tenement area.

Baily Range covers an area of 97km2 and is located 25km southwest of Halls Creek. Previous explorers have identified broad soil geochemical anomalies of several kilometres in length. Rock chip sampling of stock work quartz veins have returned values of up to 9.2 g/t gold within these anomalous zones. Existing drilling has identified broad low grade intervals including 20m at 0.5 g/t and 9m at 1 g/t gold. Numerous low level soil anomalies require RAB testing in the same stratigraphic horizon that hosts mineralisation at the Palm Springs gold mine.

Project 3: Pilbara Project

The Pilbara Project is located 160km east of Karratha and 38km south-east of Whim Creek. Legacy holds an unencumbered interest in granted contiguous Exploration Licenses E47/1437 and E47/1438 covering 5.57km2.

Gold was discovered in the Pilbara in 1888 with significant quantities won across the region over the past century. The area is prospective for gold mineralisation, due to the adjoining Pilbara Top Camp gold deposits and the potential of the Achaean Pilbara Well greenstone belt in the northern part of the tenements.

Given widespread cover by sediments resulted in only limited exploration work previously, the application of modern methods is now warranted.

Project 4: Mount Phillips Project

The Mount Phillips Project is located 300km east of Carnarvon and 16km east of Mount Phillips Station. Legacy holds an unencumbered interest in granted Exploration Licence E09/1408 covering 31.3km2.

There is potential to discover gold mineralisation on this tenement, due to the area's proven gold-bearing  history and gold deposits at the nearby Bangemall mining centre and no modern exploration has been completed on the tenement.
